About PetVitality
PetVitality is a pet health tracker for dogs and cats, made by a veterinarian. It helps owners keep a written record of symptoms, medications, treatments, weight, heat cycles and seizures, and share it with their vet.
Who is behind it
I’m Fredrik Johansen, a veterinarian (DVM) and the founder of PetVitality. I built the app after too many consultations where the most important information, like when a seizure happened or when a medication was changed, depended on what the owner could remember in the moment.
PetVitality is developed by my company, Lyssa AS, in Norway. It’s an independent project, not a big company, and many of its features came from owners on Reddit and in my own clinic. I also make Dyreboka, a Norwegian pet health app built on the same foundation.

The articles on this site are written by me, based on clinical practice and the veterinary literature. Each article shows when it was last reviewed, and I update them when the evidence changes.
